Customer Review: Functions but disappointing

Pros:
* Works as advertised (mostly-manufacturer warns that not all functions work on all Pentax cameras).
* Small.
Cons:
* Function button does not seem to work with Optio w-90.
* Poor and minimal instructions.
* No lanyard included, and lanyard holes difficult to thread anything through.
* Warning on remote that "battery replacement not supported" ('tho manual says to send back to manufacturer to replace battery for a fee).
* Can't seem to use any optional drive mode when the remote is in use (you can't bracket with the remote, for example).
Bought this remote after trying for several months to get find one in stock. Two of the three buttons work with my w-90, but I'm disappointed that the waterproof remote doesn't support the function setting on the waterproof camera. Silly me, it really looked to me like the two were made for each other. If anyone can figure out how to get the function button on this to work with the w-90, please comment.
Thought at first that the remote didn't work at all, cuz the included instructions did not apply to the w-90. Per the manual, however, I found you need to set the camera to the remote setting in the drive mode menu. So, that's another disappointment. I wanted to use the remote with the bracketing feature. And that is also in the drive mode menu. I don't see how to set the camera to both modes at the same time.
Bottom line: It works, but not as I had hoped. And, at least for the w-90, it is pricey for a remote with limited functionality.
